How long can I keep the Registration on the issued Certificate?
Registrations can be kept on the issued Certificate for a period of 10 years, which is extendable by another 10 years near the date of expiry free of charge

How long does it take to receive my Certificate from the DVLA?
Receiving your new Certificate takes up to 2 weeks, depending on DVLA Back-Logs & Royal Mail service times

How quickly can I have my new Registration assigned to my vehicle?
Once purchased, provided you have made a set of new plates and informed your Motor Insurance Provider about the change of reg, you can have your new registration assigned to your vehicle same-day. We will email all details needed to assign your reg on the GOV UK website
 

How do I assign a Registration to my vehicle?

Assigning a Reg to your vehicle is carried out on the GOV UK "Registration Assignment Service" website

 from 7 am until 7 pm daily.

The credentials on your V750/V778 Certificate will be used to assign the reg.

We can also email these should you wish to assign right away!

Can I purchase a Registration to sell on?

Yes!

You can sell your Registration on a variety of platforms at any time.

If since purchasing you have not used the Reg and have sold it, please forward over the new keeper details so that we can issue a replacement certificate

You cannot make your vehicle look newer than it is by using a more current year reg than its first date of registration.

e.g. You cannot assign a 2007+ reg to your vehicle if your vehicle was registered new on or before 2006

Any Payment taken is Non-Refundable

We sell the rights of ownership to be able to present the advertised registration. 

Registration numbers fall into the "Personalised Goods" category and as a result, Prestige Plate do not offer a returns policy

Are there any unknown costs during the purchase of a Registration?

The advertised price is the full price of owning the rights to display the advertised registration onto your vehicle.

It is to the discretion of the purchaser whether they adjust the spacing of the reg. Please contact us to confirm the legal spacing of the Reg as presented on the V750/V778
